Jarvis Cocker Curates Eclectic Music Festival
Jarvis Cocker, the former frontman of Pulp, has curated the Meltdown festival, which will take place in London's Southbank Centre on June 16-24. Previous curators have included Patti Smith, Morrissey, and David Bowie. The eclectic and curious lineup for the 2007 edition will feature drone-metal band Sunn O))), Bollywood-influenced electronica act Cornershop, classic psych rockers Roky Erickson, nutty '60s folkstress Melanie, and, of course, Devo, among many others. The complete list of performers can be viewed on the festival's official website.
