Maroon 5 Tops Charts, Tours Intimate Venues

Maroon 5 returns on May 22nd with It Won't Be Soon Before Long, the band's first record since 2002's Songs About Jane. A half-decade is an eternity in the record industry, but the soul/pop collective picked right up where they left off this week with "Makes Me Wonder," a No. 1 song on the Biillboard Hot 100 charts. And to celebrate their return, Maroon 5 has unveiled a short tour of intimate shows and club dates. Beginning in Boston on May 30th, the band will perform to smaller crowds in six cities.

"We're getting back to our roots on this tour," said singer Adam Levine in a press release. "We love the sweaty intimacy of playing in a tightly packed room; you can literally taste the energy. Anyone who comes to these shows will see us at our core with no frills. Good times guaranteed for all!"

    These are the dates:

    May 2007
    30 - Boston, MA - Axis

    June 2007
1 - San Francisco, CA - Great American Music Hall
    2 - West Hollywood, CA - Troubadour
7 - Minneapolis, MN - Fine Line Music Cafe
    9 - Miami, FL - Studio A
