    It is our unfortunate duty to report to you that sometimes the Internet is cruel. Last week, we announced, based on substantial information (or so we thought), that Sacha Baron Cohen was cast to play singer Freddie Mercury in a developing biopic.

    "Pure hokum," Baron Cohen's publicist told MTV.com. The rumors circulating that the British comedian will star as the Queen frontman is "absolutely untrue."

    Oh well.
