Following a performance in Council Bluffs, Iowa on May 13, the 78-year-old rock 'n' roll pioneer Bo Diddley suffered a stroke. He is currently being cared for at the Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, where it has been reported that Diddley has suffered damage to the left side of his brain that has affected his ability to speak.
Diddley, whose hits include "Who Do You Love?" and "Road Runner," was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in 1987. His trademark stomping rhythm has influenced pop music for decades, from the Strangeloves' 1965 hit "I Want Candy" to George Michael's "Faith."
