Madonna Writes New Track for LiveEarth

Pop mainstay Madonna has penned a new track specifically for the LiveEarth festival entitled "Hey You." The song won't premiere at the festival, but rather will be made available first as an MP3 download at MSN.com on May 16. Fans will be able to download the special track for free, but since this song was written specifically for the LiveEarth festival and the campaign against global warming, Microsoft has pledged to donate $0.25 per download to the Alliance for Climate Protection for the first one million downloads.

"Hey You" was recorded in London under the production expertise of Pharrell. LiveEarth founder Kevin Wall was ecstatic about the song's affiliation with the global concert's cause, saying, "The early release of 'Hey You' is an incredible boost to our efforts to get people engaged in the environmental cause. We are thrilled that Madonna donated her art to LiveEarth and is a part of this movement for us." The song will see its live debut when Madonna performs at the LiveEarth concert in London at Wembley Stadium on July 7.
