    Yoko, Slint, and other alternative music icons come out for webzine's big event


    Pitchfork Festival Announces Final Lineup

    The online indie-rock bible Pitchfork Media has announced the details for its ambitious, genre-crossing Pitchfork Music Festival, taking place in Chicago, Illlinois' Union Park on July 13- 15. The three-day outdoor who's who of alternative music features headliners Mastodon, De La Soul,
    Klaxons, and a rare live appearance by Yoko Ono.

    On the first day of the festival, the webzine will premiere a program devoted to its Don't Look Back format, where iconic bands will perform classic albums from beginning to end. Sonic Youth will perform 1988's indie-rock blueprint Daydream Nation, Slint will rock through 1991's post-rock masterpiece Spiderland and rapper GZA will replicate the odd genius of 1995's Liquid Swords.
