50 Cent Delays New Album
Remember when 50 Cent told us that his eagerly anticipated album titled Curtis was coming out June 26? Well, 50 takes it back. The rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, is pushing the release date back by two months to September 4 so the domestic release can coincide with the international release date.Cent said regarding the delay, "I'm an international artist. My fans worldwide deserve to receive my album at the same time as my fans here in the U.S. Taking that into consideration, moving the album to September was a necessary course of action."
Industry insiders speculate that the two lead singles ("Straight To The Bank," "Amusement Park") for the follow-up to 2005's The Massacre have both received a lukewarm response on radio and the postponement is perhaps another way to create some buzz. And here we thought that you just had to record great music to create some buzz.
