Lineup at Red Rocks Amphitheatre grows ever more... um, monolithic
Colorado's Monolith Festival Adds More Acts
When we first reported on the Monolith Festival at Red Rocks Amphitheatre outside Denver, Colorado, the lineup was already pretty sweet, with such indie-rock stalwarts as The Flaming Lips and Spoon sharing the bill with more leftfield acts like Texas electro-rockers Ghostland Observatory and Chicago's genre-mashing DJ team, Flosstradamus. Now, the lineup has gotten even sweeter, with 11 new acts joining the bill, including British gloom merchants Editors, Brooklyn synth-pop trio Au Revoir Simone and not one, but two of the world's most entertaining art-punk groups: Norway's Turbonegro and England's Art Brut. The full lineup can be seen at the official Monolith Festival website, where you can also purchase tickets starting Saturday, June 2. The festival takes place September 14-15.
