New T-Mobile Street Gig takes things down deep... literally
Basement Jaxx, Dizzee Rascal, The Feeling Play Underground "Carnival"
Talk about "underground music." T-Mobile Street Gigs is bringing a special three-day carnival event to the Vaults of London Bridge August 30-September 1, featuring three different acts performing in a "unique carnival setting."On Wednesday August 30, Basement Jaxx will take the stage, surrounded by exotic showgirls, contortionists and more as they play tracks from their forthcoming album Crazy Itch Radio. " After playing to huge stadiums on the Robbie Williams tour in Europe, it'll be great to get back to London and play such an intimate venue," said the Jaxx. "And it'll be the perfect place to showcase tracks from our new album, Crazy Itch Radio. We started off in a basement (hence the name) so playing underground at the T-Mobile Street Gig carnival will be a kind of 'Back to the Future' moment for us.
Next up is grime star Dizzee Rascal, bringing heavy sound systems and some of his proteges into The Vaults for an urban dance party like no other. Dizzee will play Thursday, August 31. Rounding out the three carnival nights, rockers The Feeling will play accompanied by confetti cannons and spectacular lighting to bring the event to a close.
Tickets to the T-Mobile Street Gig carnival are strictly by invite only. For a chance of getting on the guest list for this intimate gig, music fans must register online at www.t-mobile.co.uk/street between 9am Thursday 17th and 9am Thursday 24th August.
