With the recent success of Disney franchises in the Broadway circuit, with film adaptations such as The Lion King, Beauty & The Beast and now Mary Poppins, Disney is opening their eyes to other opportunities outside the squeaky-clean family film realm. According to NME.com, Disney will be featuring a night of song with tributes to classic songs from the Disney cannon performed by the likes of Pete Doherty, of

Babyshambles, Shane MacGowan of The Pogues, Bryan Ferry, Nick Cave, Beth Orton, Jarvis Cocker and more. The event is set to take place June 17 at The Southbank Centre in London and will be called "Forest fo No Return - Hal Wilmer presents the Vintage Disney Songbook."

Though the tracklisting for the evening hasn't been fully unveiled, it's been leaked that Pete Doherty will be performing the Cockney ode "Chim Chimeny" from Mary Poppins, while Jarvis Cocker will tackle a tune from The Jungle Book and Beth Orton delves into some Dumbo. No word has been released on the whether this concert will be recorded for the possibility of a live album release.
