No pressure felt, right?
James Blunt Announces Sophomore Release
James Blunt is ready to move on past "You're Beautiful." The British singer-songwriter will return on July 23 with the first single, "1973," from a forthcoming sophomore release, titled All the Lost Souls. Judging from the album title alone, it promises to be just as mopey as its predecessor, Back to Bedlam.Blunt's Lost Souls will be released via Atlantic Records on September 18 in the U.S. and a day before elsewhere. "For me, there was absolutely no pressure whatsoever," says a blunt Blunt in a press release. "Having sold over 11 million albums, I know that the likelihood of doing that again is really minimal. Instead of setting that as a target, I set out to do and record something that I really enjoy, that I'm really happy with. It was a release, in a way. It's something that I can say shows my growth and development as a songwriter and as a musician, shows development in my own life, and records and documents it in that way."
