Pink Floyd Reissues Classic Debut
Pink Floyd is re-releasing their pysch-rock debut Piper at the Gates of Dawn as a special three-disc 40th anniversary package on August 28 via EMI. The set will include both a stereo and mono version of the classic record, along with a third disc of extremely rare bonus material, including B-sides and demo versions of classic Floyd songs. The mini boxed set's new packaging will be designed by Pink Floyd collaborator Storm Thorgerson, and includes reproductions from the notebook of Syd Barrett, the band's original lead singer, who died in seclusion last year.—The ARTISTdirect Staff
