Dave Gahan Announces Second Solo Album

Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan announced that he has completed his second solo record, titled Hourglass and due out sometime in October via Mute Records. His first record, Paper Monsters, came out in 2003.

Gahan said that the new album is more electronic sounding than his debut, but "we were very aware of the importance of keeping urgency in the sound and a feeling of spontaneity. We didn't want to get bogged down in trying to make everything sound perfect. You want to keep the rough edges."
