Zune Hosts Hip-Hop-Flavored BBQ Series
Hey, do you remember the Zune? Yes, that's right. It was—excuse us—is that digital music player released by Microsoft. Well, Zune has just announced that it is curating a series of free summer concerts, taking place in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York City. The Live at the BBQ series will feature performances by such leading hip-hop artists as Clipse, Common and Mos Def. "The idea is to re-create that energy with the ultimate park jam experience," according to a press release. Los Angeles, CA's event takes place on July 12, while Chicago, IL throws it down on July 22. New York gets the Zune magic on August 4. Check Zune.net for more details.—The ARTISTdirect Staff
