The Pogues Tour U.S. Without Their Guitarist

The Pogues will tour North America later this year during the fall, but, sadly, without their guitarist Philip Chevron. The band's official website reports that Chevron was recently diagnosed with "locally advanced" throat cancer in early June.
The statement on the site reads: "This decision to suspend his live work has the complete support of the other Pogues who wish him a good and complete recovery. Though it is not yet known when Chevron will return to live work, it is hoped that he will again be available towards the end of this year."
Tickets for the legendary Irish punk band's forthcoming tour goes on sale this week. More U.S. dates will be announced soon.
These are the dates:
October 17, 18 - Seattle, WA - The Fenix
October 21, 22 - San Francisco, CA - The Fillmore
October 26 - San Deigo, CA - 4th & B Concert Theater
October 28 - Anaheim, CA - House of Blues
October 30, 31 - Los Angeles, CA - The Wiltern
November 2 - Las Vegas, NV - Pearl Concert Theater at Palms
