Slash to Appear as Himself in Guitar Hero III
Slash is featured as a leading character in the forthcoming third installment of the Guitar Hero video game. The Velvet Revolver guitarist (ahh, remember the good ol' days when we could reference his former band without sighing?) will show up on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock as the "boss battle character" and will also graciously supply an original tune for axe wielding use only. The game will also feature music from the Rolling Stones, Beastie Boys and Pearl Jam among others, along with Guns N' Roses' "Welcome to the Jungle.""Guitar legend Slash, combined with Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock's robust soundtrack and innovative new game features, will continue to solidify the brand's leadership in the rhythm-action genre," Robin Kaminsky, executive vice president of Activision Publishing, said in a press release statement. Now we've heard of rhythm and blues, but we're not totally familiar with rhythm-action. Perhaps Slash will enlighten us with his legendary guitar prowess.
