Ja Rule, Lil Wayne Both Arrested

Both Lil Wayne and Ja Rule were coincidentally arrested last night in New York on charges of criminal weapons possession in separate incidents. Only hours after Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, performed at the Beacon Theatre on the Upper West Side, officers noticed him smoking marijuana outside his tour bus on 61st Street at 11:30 p.m.. While in custody, police also found a .40-caliber pistol on his person.

Meanwhile, Ja Rule, whose real name is Jeff Atkins, was arrested only an hour earlier in the same neighborhood when police noticed his vehicle speeding too fast. When authorities stopped the car, they also found a .40-caliber gun in the sedan.
