Beastie Boys Add Shows to Sold Out Tour

Beastie Boys have tacked on a slew of extra show dates to their jam-packed festival appearances this summer. The band have added these additional dates due to the previously scheduled dates selling out at a record pace. In additional to general concerts, Beastie Boys are offering up special gala shows—which require appropriate "gala" attire (whip out those monkey suits)—where the band will only play music from their new, instrumental album, The Mix Up.

As a nod to all the ecological awareness of late, the band are joining forces with ARIA (Artists Resources in Action) to make a $1 donation from every ticket to Reverb, an outreach program that educates the public on environmental sustainability. The trio are also urging fans to bring in their old cell phones and media devices to be recycled at pick-up points at the shows.
