Neil Young Pens Graphic Novel
Neil Young will release a graphic novel based on his 2003 concept album and accompanying film Greendale, centered on the titular fictional town. Comics publisher Vertigo, a subsidiary of DC Comics, announced at this weekend's Comic Con Convention that the graphic novel will focus on the story of Sam Green and his burgeoning activism. Karen Barge, an executive from Vertigo explained how the collaboration came about: "I met Neil about a year ago. He approached us. He loves comics and he'd been following all the attention for graphic novels that's going on. Much like the rest of his creative work. It's his baby, and he'll have a big hand in producing the book and promoting it later on."There is no release date set yet.
