Pinback Star in Their Own Video Game

So, apparently the new album sounds like Zelda meets deep-sea diving; we're sold.

Pinback Star in Their Own Video Game

Forget Beowulf. Forget anything Homer wrote. Pinback's new album, Autumn of the Seraphs, is all the epic poetry you need. To demonstrate the album's sonic brilliance in visual form, Pinback have made... a videogame.

In an attempt to distract you/have fun while you should be answering your email at work, you can play Pinback's digital adventure game, November Fireflight. Assume the role of one of our two heroes (note the epic formalizing of the names) Armistead Burwell Smith IV (Zach) or the beardedly courageous Robertdale Rulon Crow Jr. (Rob). Then you will swim the murky waters of the deepest lakes, trying to keep an innocent firefly safe from the jaws of evil, carnivorous fish.

Of course, the soundtrack to this game are some of the choice tracks from the forthcoming Autumn of the Seraphs out on September 11 via Touch and Go. You can play the game and sample the new album here.

    Godspeed, valiant warrior. Godspeed.
