Uncle Kracker Arrested As Sex Offender
Country-funk singer/songwriter Uncle Kracker (aka Matthew Shafer) was arrested this morning in Raleigh, North Carolina according to Billboard.com. The reason for getting pinched? A woman accused the musician of performing a violating sexual act against her, without her consent. The official charge against the singer is a second degree sex offense.Uncle Kracker has been musically dormant. Nothing has been released by the singer since 2004's Seventy-two & Sunny.
Shafer is still in custody, with a $5 million bond.
