    Blur Bassist Confirms Reunion Album

'90s Britpop heavyweights Blur haven't had the best band relations. During the band's last album, 2003's Think Tank, guitarist Graham Coxon quit in the middle of the album's recording and left the band on an open-ended hiatus. However, NME.com reports that—after much speculation and rumours—Blur will be reuniting to record a new album. Bassist Alex James spoke to the British music rag saying that all band members have been in contact and have even begun planning recording sessions.

Talking to the magazine, James said, "It's going to happen soon...It's important for us emotionally not to leave Blur as an unfinished thing," while cheekily adding, "it could be good musically, as well."

James and drummer Dave Rowntree are the only two members who have publicly commented on the band's suggested reunion. Fans will have to wait until confirmation from lead singer Damon Albarn and estranged guitarist Coxon surfaces before the true Britpop revival begins.
