All grown up and out on their own

Hanson Tours Nationwide, Experiments With Radio

Those three kids from Hanson have been hard at work since they injected the world with a healthy dose of mmmbop. Kids no more, the songwriting trio recently released their latest album, The Walk, which landed at #4 on the Independent Music Charts (Hanson self-releases their own albums on 3CG Records). Now they're gearing up to tour respectably sized venues all across the U.S. to promote the indie success.

We know you might still harbor some preconceived prejudice about this band. After all that ubiquitous hit of yore got a bit tiresome with repeated airplay, which is why a Chicago alt-rock station, WKQX, played their latest single "The Great Divide" with their name unattached, attributing it to a "mystery artist." Within weeks, the song was receiving frequent requests and even made it into the station's heavy rotation. Three weeks after the anonymous debut, WKQX announced that the song was in fact performed by Hanson. Listeners were pleasantly surprised and a lesson in tolerance was learned by all.
