Led Zeppelin Unveil Mothership, DVD
The moment has finally arrived. After the fanatical frenzy over securing tickets to the rock legends' one-off London show, Led Zeppelin have now revealed the highly anticipated album details of their Mothership release. The album comprises the band's many hits and fan favorites from all eight of their studio albums on two 24-track CDs. The release will also feature new liner notes by famed Rolling Stone rock journo, David Fricke. As an added thrill for fans, Led Zeppelin's concert album, The Song Remains The Same, will be re-released, with the band members overseeing the new mixing and remastering of the songs. The concert was originally recorded at their 1973 Madison Square Garden concert. The re-release also contains bonus songs that were played at the concert, but left off the original 1976 release. For the first time, the concert's film footage will be released on DVD. The DVD (also called The Song Remains The Same) features all 14 songs from the original concert with the same remixed and remastered 5.1 sound as the CD release.
As previously reported, famed propaganda artist Shepard Fairey has designed the artwork for Mothership, which has now been released. To get more information on the new collection, check out the official Mothership website here.
