Eric Clapton Releases Best-of, Autobiography

Eric Clapton will release a comprehensive 2-disc compilation titled Complete Clapton, due out October 9, via Reprise Records. This new greatest hits package comes out the same day as Clapton: An Autobiography, a career-spanning book retelling the trials and tribulation of Slowhand's 40 years as a musician and performer.

Clapton assures potential readers that he will recount his days grappling with drug and alcohol addiction, as well as his failed marriage, with "striking candor."
