Jimi Hendrix's Legendary Performance Finally On DVD

October 16 will see the release of Jimi Hendrix's long-awaited, legendary performance from the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival as a special edition DVD. It features all the footage from the concert as it was originally performed.

The Jimi Hendrix Experience: Live at Monterey Definitive Edition DVD also includes a new documentary titled American Landing, which traces Hendrix's popularity from the start of his fame up to his performance at Monterey. This was the concert where the iconic guitar player lit his instrument ablaze while on stage, securing his reputation as a rock god. No encore was needed.
