Director has his mind set on biopic
Martin Scorsese to Direct George Harrison Documentary
Variety magazine reports that Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese has signed on to direct a documentary about the life of former Beatles guitarist George Harrison. Scorsese is also set to produce, along with Harrison's widow Olivia.The film will focus on Harrison's musical career, both with the Beatles and as a solo artist, along with his later entry into film making. "George Harrison's music and his search for spiritual meaning is a story that still resonates today and I'm looking forward to delving deeper," said Scorsese. Production on the still untitled project is scheduled to begin before the end of the year.
