Richard Hawley, the ex-Pulp guitarist and songsmith behind this year's Lady's Bridge and the 2005 Mercury Prize-nominated Cole's Corner, has just announced a string of Fall US tour dates. This will be Hawley's first trip to America in suport of Lady's Bridge.
Hawley's early beginnings in the Sheffield music scene were based it Brit pop: his first band was Longpigs, which eventually led to his tenure in Pulp. But Hawley's solo music is based in nostalgic romance and the teenage bawdiness of rockabilly.
