With Scarlett Johansson getting all handsy with Justin Timberlake in his mini-epic "What Goes Around" and Natalie Portman prancing around in Paul McCartney's "Dance Tonight," it seems that stars never go out of style, even if music videos have (at least on MTV).

Honestly, there's nothing like watching a few minutes of your favorite rocker or rapper cavorting alongside a random celebrity. All the better when said cameo is a scantily clad model (look up George Michael's "Freedom '90" to see what we mean).

So for our first edition of Field Tested, we've searched through the archives for our favorite celebrity video cameos and unearthed some of the sweetest examples of star-crossed musical moments.

Michael Jackson - "Remember the Time" feat. Eddie Murphy

The over-indulgent, Egyptian-themed video for Jackson's Dangerous single features a cameo by Iman and Eddie Murphy as the Pharaoh and his Queen respectively. "I'm bored," Iman says in the intro. "I want to be entertained." By the time the nine-minute video ends, you may feel the same way. But stick around for Jackson's vintage R&B and Murphy's hilarious and expressive facial reactions and you'll remember the time when Jacko didn't totally creep you out.

Eminem - "The Real Slim Shady" feat. Kathy Griffin
The budget for this video was presumably low. Comedienne Kathy Griffin, the self-proclaimed D-list celebrity, makes an appearance as a mental institution nurse. But think about it a bit more and the pairing is ideal: both Eminem and Griffin are wholly irreverent, despite the naysayers, of which there are many.

Bruce Springsteen - "Dancing in the Dark" feat. Courteney Cox
Before she was a Friend, the Boss tapped a short-cropped Courteney Cox for a cameo in this single from Born in the USA. The starlet-in-waiting plays an adoring fan standing front-row in the audience, swooning over a young Springsteen as he channels his inner-Swayze. Eventually, he pulls her onstage and they dance in the semi-dark.
