T.I. Put Under House Arrest
Federal Judge Alan Baverman released T.I. on a $3 million bond Friday, ordering the rapper (real name: Clifford Harris) under house arrest as he awaits trial on weapons charges. The catch? T.I. must pay for his own private, 24-hour monitoring service, which will make sure he doesn't leave his Henry County, GA home, except for medical appointments and court appearances. The possession of firearms and any contact with informants or witnesses in the case are also strictly prohibited.Referring to T.I.'s high-powered legal team, the judge issued a simple warning: "You shouldn't do anything that will undermine their ability to represent you."
T.I. was arrested on October 13 after a federal investigation discovered that the convicted felon's bodyguard had allegedly bought him machine guns.
