The B-52's Complete First LP In 16 Years

    Tue, 30 Oct 2007 09:46:22

For the Chemical Brothers' label, no less

Just when you thought the "Love Shack" would be closed forever, the B-52's have reunited for their first studio record since 1992's Good Stuff. Due out on February 26 through Astralwerks (the home of Hot Chip, The Chemical Brothers, and Babyshambles, among others), Funplex promises to be just that: "instantly recognizable, instantly fun," according to Astralwerks label manager Glenn Mendlinger. Or as drummer Keith Strickland put it in a statement, "It's loud, sexy rock 'n' roll for your pleasure zones, with the beat pumped up to hot pink."

No wonder why the founding four (Strickland, Fred Schneider, Kate Pierson, Cindy Wilson) are taking it straight to the kids at a Halloween show with The Rapture at New York City's Roseland Ballroom tomorrow.

    The Funplex tracklisting:

    1. Pump
    2. Hot Corner
    3. Ultraviolet
    4. Juliet Of The Spirits
    5. Funplex
    6. Eyes Wide Open
    7. Love In The Year 3000
    8. Deviant Ingredient
    9. Too Much To Think About
    10. Dancing Now
    11. Keep This Party Going
