Kylie Minogue Clears Up World Tour Rumors

Kylie Minogue's management team has responded to a Daily Mail report claiming the pop singer cancelled world tour plans at the urge of her doctors. (Minogue is currently recovering from breast cancer.) The tabloid quoted Minogue as saying, "The tour is not going to happen. It is far too soon... it kind of breaks my heart because that is what I'm in this business for." Warner Music spokeswoman Kylie Martin responded by explaining that Minogue and her management are simply focusing on promoting her upcoming album X (out on import through Parlophone later this month). She added, "Rumors of a 2008 tour are untrue."

Minogue underwent breast cancer surgery in May of 2005 and completed a successful series of chemotherapy treatments in early 2006. She has been in remission ever since.
