Chesney Wrangles Up Rimes For 2008 Tour

While dates are still TBD for Kenny Chesney's 2008 Poets and Pirates Tour, the country star has selected LeAnn Rimes as the main supporting act for the Corona Extra-sponsored bill. Chesney is still riding high from the success of his latest album, Just Who I Am: Poets and Pirates, as well as the entertainer of the year award he won this week at the 2007 CMA Awards in Nashville.

Of the tour, Chesney told Billboard.com, "I know the way we live out on the road. We're pirates in our own way: knowing you have to make the moment as intense as it can be, because once the show's done, it's done and we're gone. It's a little rootless, but it's part of where the songs come from, that poetry to how this life is."
