The White Stripes Wrap B-Sides With Beck

The White Stripes have followed through with the teaser promises of a Web posting last week, revealing the three B-sides and "special collaboration" of their soon-to-be-released "Conquest" single. As it turns out, Jack and Meg recruited a certain close friend named Beck to produce and contribute to "Cash Grab Complications on the Matter," "It's My Fault For Being Famous" (featuring Beck on vocals and piano), and "Honey, We Can't Afford to Look This Cheap" (featuring Beck on slide guitar). The three tracks will be included on a stateside iTunes single December 18 along with an "Acoustic Mariachi Version" of "Conquest." People who still play records will have the option of collecting the B-sides across three limited, colored 7-inches.

The Stripes also completed a music video for "Conquest," one that premieres November 26 on MTV and "follows an explosive—if unconventional—love story that pits man against bull in the ultimate conquest." Fun fact: Jack White apparently trained with world-renowned bullfighter Dennis Borba before playing the part.
