Van Halen Extends U.S. Tour
And they said it wouldn't last. By it, we mean Van Halen's reunion tour, a 40-date journey into the unknown that started on September 27 in Charlotte, NC, and will now last well into 2008 thanks to a handful of recently added dates. They probably aren't the end of the road, either. The weeklong gaps between each tour stop leave lots of room for cities missed the first time around. As for how well this thing has worked out critically and commercially, all we've got to say is it's kind of awesome considering they haven't had a new studio record since 1998's Gary Cherone-helmed Van Halen III.
Continuing to let bygones be bygones:
1/22 Oklahoma City, OK - Ford Center
1/28 Houston, TX - Toyota Center
2/4 Omaha, NE - Qwest Center
2/12 Ft. Lauderdale, FL - Bank Atlantic Center
3/30 St. Louis, MO - Scottrade Center
