Sheryl Crow Returns to Roots on New Record

Sheryl Crow's sixth studio album, Detours, is set to hit stores on February 5, 2008. In a move that brings us back to 1993 and the pure bliss of pop hits like "All I Wanna Do" and "Strong Enough," Bill Bottrell was behind the boards for the effort. You may remember him from the production chair of Crow's breakthrough debut Tuesday Night Music Club, which earned three Grammy awards and sold more than 10 million copies worldwide.

"This is the most honest record I've ever made," Crow said in a statement. "It's about being forced to wake up."

Key cuts include "Love Is Free," "Lullaby for Wyatt" (also from the John Cusack film Grace Is Gone) and the current iTunes single "Shine Over Babylon." Crow will preview the album on CNN's Heroes December 6 and CBS' A Home For the Holidays December 20.
