The Black Crowes Ready New Record
The Brothers Robinson (that'd be Chris the singer and Rich the guitarist) have finally wrapped up Warpaint, the first Black Crowes record since 2001's Lions LP. Due out on March 4 through the band's new indie label Silver Arrow Records, it features the debut of two new members: guitarist Luther Dickinson (also of North Mississippi Allstars) and keyboardist Adam MacDougall. Dickinson replaces Paul Stacey, a temporary touring member who produced and mixed the album at Allaire Studios in Woodstock, NY. The Robinson's wrote all of the tracks together except for "God's Got It," which was pulled from the pages of the Reverend Charlie Jackson. As for that incendiary title of theirs, Chris claims it signifies "the revolution that could take place in all our souls."Fair enough. The Crowes will set off on a world tour starting March 24 at Australia's Byron Bay Festival. The down under leg runs through April 5, after which the band will hit Tokyo, Amsterdam, London and a couple cities in Germany. All dates are TBA, including a special series of "One Night Only" warm-up shows featuring an intro-to-out performance of Warpaint and other "selected surprises."

1. Goodbye Daughters of the Revolution
2. Walk Believer Walk
3. O, Josephine

5. We Who See the Deep
6. Locust Street
7. Movin' On Down the Line
