Rufus Wainwright Takes Half-Sister On Tour
In a move that's got nothing to do with his new concert album Rufus Does Judy at Carnegie Hall, Rufus Wainwright has announced some holiday season tour dates with his half-sister Lucy Wainwright Roche in tow. Standard—well, for Wainwright at least—shows run from December 20 in Stroudsburg, PA, to January 12 in New Brunswick, NJ, with two special dates happening in New York City and Los Angeles. December 19 is a benefit for SaveDarfur.org, presented by Teddy Thompson and featuring performances from Ben Lee, Wainwright, his sister Martha and more.As for Wainwright's New Year's Eve gig, it's meant to be a "Parisian-style celebration" with songs delivered in English and French, according to a press release.
