Green Day Books Studio Time For Eighth LP
Green Day will begin working on their next album in January, the follow-up to their smash punk rock opera, 2004's American Idiot. The band's manager has said there is no tentative release date for the record, but frontman Billie Joe Armstong revealed a lot about its possible direction in an NME.com interview this past October."We have a lot of musicsomething like 45 songs," he said. "It's total chaos ... I want to dig into who I am and what I'm feeling at this moment, which is middle-aged. We've been doing this for almost 20 years now. You want to make sure you're being honest with yourself. I also have to ask myself 'what's real out there?' Right now, it seems stagnant."
Greenday.com will re-launch with updates about the record's progress next month.
