Bonnaroo Announces Dates, Denies Rumors
Metallica and Led Zeppelin will not be playing next year's Bonnaroo Music Festival. At least that's the suggestion made by a statement released to Billboard.com. According to Superfly Presents and A.C. Entertainment, "The rumors that are out there about the Bonnaroo 2008 headliners are inaccurate. We're very excited about the lineup that we're putting together for this year's festival. We'll be announcing the confirmed lineup toward the end of January/beginning of February." The co-promoters did release the festival's dates, however. They are June 12-15 in Manchester, TN.Now if only Bonnaroo 2008 could do better than last year's astounding success: 80,000 attendees and grosses of $16.8 million, according to Billboard's Boxscore.
