Flight of the Conchords Near Completion of Debut LP

Sub Pop has revealed details of the first full-length Flight of the Conchords record. Due out April 22, the as-yet-untitled album will feature 10-12 tracks from a possible 15. Among the final selections will be "massively reworked and totally rearranged" songs from the duo's hit HBO series including the synth-pop parody "Inner City Pressure," a likely leadoff single.

"The idea is to find a tiny window of opportunity to get the band available to do stuff in between writing and shooting [the show's second season]," Sub Pop A&R head Tony Kiewel told Billboard.com. "They're involved in every aspect of the show's production."

All that hard work paid off recently when the group's debut EP, The Distant Future, got a Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album.
