David Banner to Star in Juice Crew Biopic

Furqaan Clover has snagged Cuba Gooding Jr., David Banner and The Wire's Idris Elba for his Juice Crew biopic, The Vapors. According to Blackfilm.com, the first-time filmmaker will start production in January, with Banner as Biz Markie, Gooding as Marley Marl, and Elba as the Cold Chillin Records founder Fly Ty. Other confirmed cast members include Clifton Powell (DJ/radio personality Mr. Magic), Evan Ross (MC Shan), and Jackie Long (Big Daddy Kane). That leaves Craig G, Kool G Rap and a handful of others as key to-be-confirmed characters, right alongside those legendary Juice Crew rivals, Boogie Down Productions (including KRS-One).

In case you're worried about authenticity, Marley Marl, Big Daddy Kane, and Roxanne Shanté have all been tapped as executive producers.
