DragonForce Set Guitar Hero III Ablaze
DragonForce's Inhuman Rampage was released in June 2006 on Roadrunner Records, and debuted at the plum #1 spot on The Billboard Heatseekers Chart. However, the album is experiencing a rocket-like surge in sales, due to the lead single, “Through The Fire And Flames,” being the breakout track on the massively popular Guitar Hero III video game. Since the game’s October 2007 release, the digital single of “Through The Fire And Flames” has sold a jawdropping145,000 tracks, the most of any artist featured on the game, including heavyweights Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, The Rolling Stones and AFI. Inhuman Rampage continues to fly off the shelves, with sales exceeding 200,000 units and counting. The track debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at #86 this week, as well.Fans have eaten up the video for the song, which features guitar virtuosos Herman Li and Sam Totman effortlessly trading licks while Totman tosses back a beer.
