Mariah Carey Sets Release Date For New Record
The last time Mariah Carey released a new LP—2005's The Emancipation of Mimi—it became the biggest selling album of the year. If the guest collaborators (Damian Marley, T-Pain) and producers (Jermaine Dupri, will.i.am, Rodney Jerkins) on That Chick are any indication of what's to come on Carey's ninth (!) studio record, she could take the charts by storm once again. According to Billboard.com, Carey's latest is due out on April 1 and features everything from a club jam called "Migrate" (featuring the priceless T-Pain line "don't wait for me to buy drinks, or you're going to dehydrate") to an attempt at Jamaican patois alongside Marley ("Cruise Control").As Dupri recently said on Billboard.com, "It's kind of strange but … the album is better than the last album."
That Chick tracklisting:
1. Lovin' You Long Time
2. Touch My Body
3. That Chick
4. Thanx for Nothin'
5. For the Record
6. Migrate
7. Cruise Control
8. Love Story
9. OOC
10. Bye Bye
