Previously unreleased recordings from Simon & Garfunkel's 1969 tour will turn up in a Starbucks-exclusive CD on March 11. Live 1969 was originally intended as a release through Columbia/Legacy last September, but it won't receive a traditional retail treatment until fall now. Among the key cuts on the album are early versions of songs from Bridge Over Troubled Water, including "Why Don't You Write Me," "So Long, Frank Lloyd Wright," and the timeless title track itself.

In other Paul Simon news, the Brooklyn Academy of Music has announced three tributes to the legend under the unifying title "Love in Hard Times: The Music of Paul Simon." He'll appear at each alongside such stellar guests as David Byrne ("Under African Skies;" April 9-13 at the Howard Gilman Opera House), Grizzly Bear ("American Tunes;" April 23-27, also at the Howard Gilman Opera House), and the doo-wop group Little Anthony & the Imperials ("Songs From the Capeman;" April 1-6 at the Harvey Theatre). For complete details on each event, check here .
