Madonna Declared Richest Woman in Music

Forbes.com has released their Top 20 "Cash Queens of Music," a list that compiles concert grosses, merchandising revenue, album sales and any other endorsements, from clothing lines to fragrances. Madonna emerged on top with $72 million earned between June 2006 and June 2007, thanks to her Confessions tour and deals with H&M and NBC.
Rounding out the Top 5 were Barbra Streisand on the comeback trail ($60 million), Celine Dion in Vegas ($45 million), Shakira ($38 million), and Beyoncé ($27 million).
