CartAnton Newcombe Is Back

Anton Newcombe—the only mainstay in Brian Jonestown Massacre, really—has finished the band's first full-length since 2003's And This Is Our Music. Due out on April 15 through Newcombe's own label (A Recordings), My Bloody Underground is BJM's thirteenth studio album and features such expertly-titled psych-rock jams as "Monkey Powder" and "Just Like Kicking Jesus."
In case you've forgotten, Newcombe was the central, controversial subject of Dig!, a documentary about his push and pull relationship with on-again/off-again rivals the Dandy Warhols.
