The Game Facing Two Months in Prison

    Tue, 12 Feb 2008 09:31:36

    For felony gun charges

A Los Angeles County judge has sentenced the Game to 60 days in prison, three years of probation and 150 hours of community service for pleading no contest to felony gun charges on Monday. The Game (born Jayceon Taylor) was originally arrested in May, three months after he allegedly threatened someone with a gun in a school zone. He pleaded not guilty to three felony counts in June, but told Monsta magazine he would eventually plead no contest in the case.

"The crazy part about this is that I've had guns before in my life," the Game said. "But this time, I didn't have a gun. And because one person said I had a gun and coaxed his homies into saying that I had a gun, I'm in a predicament where I'm asking, 'Do I want to spend another million dollars to fight this trial, so who knows what jury's gonna come in and say I'm guilty? Or do I want to save my money, go sit down for four months and accept this felony they're trying to give me for no reason?'"
