Emmylou Harris Among Hall of Fame Inductees
Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame has named this year's inductees, including Emmylou Harris, Tom T. Hall, the Statler Brothers, and the late Ernest "Pop" Stoneman, a country-bluegrass pioneer that passed away in 1968."I've got some pretty good stuff [to say]," Hall said during yesterday's induction announcement, "but I'm going to save it for the medallion ceremony where they've got a bigger crowd." Harris took her time in the spotlight to thank Gram Parsons, who helped her appreciate country at a young age. "It's the music that gave me my true voice," she said.
The Country Music Hall of Fame will officially have 105 members after its tentative medallion ceremony on April 27—the first-ever separate ceremony from the CMA Awards Show.
