Pop mega-star Justin Timberlake is set to star in a brand new baseball flick entitled The Open Road. In the movie, Timberlake is a fictional player on the minor league team the Corpus Christi Hooks. The story follows Timberlake's character as he attempts to reconcile with his legendary athlete dad, Jeff Bridges. Mary Steenburgen and Kate Mara also star in the film directed by Michael Meredith.
Shooting commenced Tuesday in Hammond, La. Timberlake has also appeared in Shrek the Third, Alpha Dog and Black Snake Moan.
